The RESTART project team recently had the opportunity to pitch to a range of industry and corporate partners, showcasing the development of CS Sentinel—a unique solution designed to transform how recreational waters are monitored and risk is communicated to the public.
This milestone was made possible through collaborative effort and strong support from the National Challenge Fund. In particular, the training session “Delivering a Winning Pitch”, led by Dr. Maria Coakley, played a pivotal role in preparing the team to communicate clearly and persuasively to a business-focused audience. The workshop focused on the fundamentals of effective B2B pitches, helping research teams present complex projects to senior business leaders with clarity and confidence, while highlighting both economic and societal impact.
This session has already been successfully delivered to teams from Round 1 (2050 and Future Digital Challenges) and offers valuable insights for all participating teams. The engagement led to thoughtful questions, useful feedback, and strong interest—further fueling momentum for innovation in water quality and public safety.
Special thanks to Skillnet Innovation Exchange and the NCF team for delivering such high-quality support and guidance.
