Ciara is a mechatronic engineer working on the RESTART project. She graduated from DCU with an MEng in Mechatronic Engineering in 2025. Her role in the project focuses on the development of an in-situ water quality sensor aimed at delivering real-time early warning of pollution events in bathing water. She is applying knowledge gained from developing a portable phosphate detection instrument during her masters degree to enhance the functionality and integration of the sensor system.
Ciara brings two years of experience in automation engineering and data analytics to the RESTART team. She is passionate about harnessing technology to drive meaningful social and environmental impact.
Outside of work, Ciara enjoys cooking and practising yoga.
