Chloe Martin is the environmental scientist working on the RESTART project. She graduated from DCU with a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science and Technology in 2023. Her role in the project focuses on developing a GUS-based rapid assay for E. coli, optimised and adapted for in-situ integration. She is responsible for analysing environmental samples for four GUS fractions: intracellular GUS, extracellular GUS, and total/bulk GUS.
As an environmental scientist, Chloe is passionate about safeguarding water and believes that the development of innovative solutions, such as sensors, is paving the way for a healthier environment for all. Outside of her work at DCU, she is an avid reader and enjoys photography.
